I’m very excited about this event I will be co-teaching on with Calen and Jini Rayne in Asheville, USA in September. We are pioneering an introduction to the basics in energetic work, to help people get a sense of what it is all about and then find their way into practices that suit them if appropriate. Calen is a true master of the invisible realms and Jini is one of the world’s most qualified Feng Shui practitioners.
Click here for more info on my site, or go directly to Calen’s site here. Register by emailing me (email@example.com) or Calen (firstname.lastname@example.org). We are choosing to keep the group quite small first time round (c 15) and have a few places left, so if you feel called, act now!
(A paper written following the Wisdom University intensive at Chartres on Sacred Geometry)
In Greek there are two words for time and two words for place. Chronos refers to linear time as we experience it in our waking states and Kairos refers to non-linear time where synchronicities happen in more of a magical or dream state. Topos referred to the physical place that we can see with our eyes and measure with our mind, and Chora referred to the energy of a place that one experiences with our inner senses (Devereux 2000). In his first framing talk in Chartres, Jim Garrison said that a theme for him during the week would be “Nature likes to hide”. He then went on to say that the Greek word translated here as “hide” actually means to hide from the mind. So the nature of reality that hides behind the veil of Isis cannot be accessed by the mind, only by the more intuitive senses. Chronos and Topos are accessible by the mind, but Kairos and Chora are hidden behind the veil, only to be found through the non-rational senses. This paper is a story of a glimpse beyond the veil into the worlds of Kairos and Chora that I was given in Chartres. Where buildings like Chartres cathedral bring our visible world as close to the veil as we can get due to the sacred natural geometry of their physical form, we actually have to slip into another dimension to experience what lies beyond.
A Journey to Re-discover the Energetic Navel of the Netherlands
As I walked out of the Henge shop in Avebury in the summer of 2007 I had a strong sense that the book I had just bought was going to open many doors. It was a fairly old book, containing what sometimes looked like photocopied articles from a variety of authors, pulled together under the book title “Anti-Gravity and the World Grid”. The “world grid” was the bit that grabbed me, as somewhere I was on a quest to learn more about the Earth’s energy body and how to relate to it.
One of the articles in that book had stood out for me as I browsed through. Written by Richard Leviton, it sketched out a picture of the planet covered in different energetic features, in a way that for some reason resonated strongly. It was both the significant implications of his experience as well as the lightness with which he held it that attracted me. And it provided me with a way in to a world that I felt strongly drawn to.
Once back home in the Netherlands, I knew that something had shifted in me and that I needed to give it attention. So in a moment of reckless freedom I tracked down Richard’s number and called him. Continue reading →
